How to use
A calculator that runs right in your browser, with nothing to install and no sign-up. You can tap the on-screen buttons, but with your keyboard's numpad you can calculate like on a desk calculator without lifting your hand.
- Thousands separators are added automatically as you type numbers.
- Use + - * / for operators. They are shown as + − × ÷.
- The result is previewed below while you type, and Enter or = confirms it.
- After a result, pressing an operator continues from that value; pressing a number starts a new calculation.
- Click an entry in the calculation history on the right to bring back an earlier result. History stays in this browser only.

Order of operations
Multiplication and division are calculated before addition and subtraction, the same way phone calculators and Excel formulas work.
- 2 + 3 × 4 = 14 (3 × 4 first)
- 100 − 20 ÷ 4 = 95
- 12.5 × 8 ÷ 4 = 25 (same precedence: left to right)
Some desk calculators work strictly in the order you press keys, so 2 + 3 × 4 gives 20 there. If a result looks different, that is why.
Percentages
- 50% → 0.5
- 200 × 15% → 30 (15% of 200)
- 200 + 10% → 220 (handy for adding tax)
- 30,000 − 20% → 24,000 (20% discount)
Numpad typing practice
The numpad has the same layout as a calculator, so one right hand can reach every digit, operator and Enter. Rest your index, middle and ring fingers on 4 5 6 and practice typing without looking: bookkeeping, data entry and spreadsheet work get noticeably faster.
This calculator shows your typing speed while you calculate, but for an accurate result try the numpad typing test. Choose numbers, expressions or a timed test, turn decimals off, or practice dollar amounts like $1,234.56.
FAQ
Can I use it with the keyboard only?
Yes. Type digits on the numpad or the top row, use + - * / for operators, and Enter or = for the result. The numpad works even with NumLock off.
Are multiplication and division calculated first?
Yes. 2+3×4 is 14.
How are percentages calculated?
50% is 0.5. After plus or minus, as in 200+10%, it adds 10% of the amount before it, giving 220. 30000-20% is 24000.
Where is my calculation history stored?
Only in this browser (localStorage). It is never sent to a server.
Is it free?
Yes. Ads may be shown to cover running costs.
